There are three sections (so far).
1. A collection of websites that are themselves collections of useful links.
2. Links to websites that have multiple resources or activities you may find useful for students.
3. Links to lesson plan ideas.
(I may add listservs at a later date)
Professional and comprehensive. Also a trove of resources for lessons and handouts.
A rather random assortment of links, in no particular order. However, some interesting things. Links to podcasts, links for younger learners, for penpals and more. Worth looking at.
Language Links
This site includes links about language history, common errors, and looks to be a good resource for online activities and professional support.
Links to dictionaries, art, info on German speaking countries, info on German-Americans and more.
Links to online resources for learning and lessons, dictionaries, handwriting, information on German speaking countries, and links to German media - radio and print.
Great collection of Deutsch als Fremdsprache links. Online resources for learning and teaching DaF, email projects, links to DaF publishers, spelling reform, mailing lists...there is so much here. Just visit!
An interesting array of articles related to German learning and history.
Links, links, links.

I am especially on the look out for interactive activities and sites that give quality audio input.
This site serves several languages. It provides picture dictionaries on basic themes with quality audio. Students can move the mouse over the items they want to hear and see the words in hypertext. Delightful.
Although designed as a stand-along program, the themes and grammar are common to many of our basic language programs. The video and audio clips are excellent. You can use the site as a guest or become a member. There are grammar exercises and interactive activities. If your students have computer access or lab time, learning to use this site could be very worthwhile.
Current topics, audio, video, rss feeds. Many of the articles arranged by both theme and ability level could be used in the classroom. They also have a common/fair use policy.
At first glance it looks like it is all grammar. Do look at the authentic & funny videos and useable readings. Students who want to know more about grammar will find a lot of information here.
It is what it says. Everything, including German. The links under German have multiple exercises for students, many of which are interactive. Additionally, other subject areas here could be utilized to meet the Connections standard.
Great video under the "Talk German" section. Can be added to a resources page for students, assigned or used in the classroom.
Many online practice exercises for German students.

Compared to other subjects there are few German videos. Many are grammar centered. Some good cultural material can be found in other subject areas. If you have material to share, upload to teacher tube.
This site allows teachers to share materials. You earn points by uploading and use the points you have to download. However, even if you are not a member or are out of points you can preview the materials and get ideas for making handouts for your class.
DaF Portal - Material-Sammlung. Ideas for lessons, worksheets, and more.
Designed for Schubert Verlags DaF materials, there are numerous activities (including online homework projects) that can be used or adapted. The site is probably difficult for students to navigate on there own. Best to set up links for them.
Geared for elementary education. While there wasn't much German here, there were still a lot of wonderful ideas that can be applied to varying age groups. How about writing fortunes for fortune cookies while you learn the future tense??? Thanks! Warning: Browsing the other subject areas may lead to making the ACTFL Connections.
Audio files or RSS, they make it interesting with idiomatic expressions. This is not for lesson planning per se, but can add some spice to our thematic plans. Could also be a student resource. What I have previewed so far has been classroom appropriate. I would still screen these, just in case.
